Employee Spotlight – We are proud to introduce Chris White Eagle.  Chris is our lead meat cutter and floor supervisor.  Chris is a highly skilled expert and artisan butcher with over 15 years of experience in meat production.  Our artisan butchers make the best possible use of each bison and waste as little of that animal as possible.  And that’s exactly what Chris and his team do every production day at our processing facility in Rapid City.  Chris started working with the Sustainable Harvest Alliance, specializing in the humane harvesting of our 100% prairie grass-fed buffalo and then shifted to full time employment with the Wild Idea Buffalo Co.  He has worked every job in our bison meat production facility and now leads a team of five artisan butchers.  Chris and his team begin the week with 16 freshly harvested bison carcasses and within three days, those carcasses are turned into high-quality premium-grade bison meat products ready for shipment to our customers around the country.  Chris is a Native American and proud member of the Lakota Tribe.  Chris and his team honor the sacred and majestic bison, ancestral traditions and cultural heritage, and ensure quality in every cut of bison meat they prepare.  We know you’ll enjoy it!
